Biography

Joined confederate army in N. Carolina and later the Mosby Rangers in Va. Received sabre cut, taken prisoner for a time but survived the war. Moved to Newark ,Ohio and worked on a farm, married the daughter and inherited the farm. Known in the Cherry Valley area for raising short horn cattle. Was active in his church and respected by all.
