Jonathan Shaw was born on Cape Cod, at Eastham, in mid-February of 1703, a son of George and Constance [recorded as Constant] (Doane) Shaw. He married, first, at Eastham in October of 1731, Sarah Rich; and second, on 23 November 1740 at Plympton, Persus Pratt.
Probate
The will of Jonathan Shaw of Middleborough, yeoman was dated 1 April 1765 and proved on 1 April 1782 in Plymouth. He mentions his wife Persis, and his children Thomas Shaw (executor), and Constanant Shaw (if he returns).[1]
In 1782, Mary Shaw 2d of Middleborough, widow was granted the administration cum testamento annexo, as Thomas Shaw was deceased.[2]
In 1782, his widow Persus Shaw received her dower. [3]
