Elizabeth Shaw was born September 15, 1726,[1] in Dighton, Massachusetts Bay Colony.[2] She was the daughter of Abraham Shaw and Anna Phillips.
Benjamin Pool and Elisabeth Shaw entered their intention to marry on April 18, 1747.[3] They soon had a daughter, Elisabeth, who was born on June 16, 1748. [4] She was their “only daughter.”[5] Two months after Elisabeth’s birth, her father, Benjamin, died August 20, 1748.[6] Elisabeth was the administrator of her deceased husband’s estate.[7] Elisabeth, now known as Elisabeth Pool, and Ebenezer Andrews, announced their intentions to marry on November 29, 1751.[8] Elisabeth Andrews died between March 14, 1765, when the last of her six children with Ebenezer was born,[9] and January 16, 1768, when Ebenezer Andrews and Mary Francis entered their intentions to marry.[10] Probate records confirm that Elizabeth had died by March 28, 1768.[11]
According to a DAR submission, Elizabeth Shaw Andrews died May 3, 1767, in Dighton.[12]
