Biography
Alsey Shaw was born about 1787, in Wake County, North Carolina, the son of William Shaw and Media Mobley.
His family moved to Wilson County, Tennessee, about 1804 when his father is first listed in the tax list. It is believed that he did not marry.

Alsey Shaw died 11 Feb 1852 in Wilson County, Tennessee. Solomon R Shaw, estate administrator, presented an account of his inventory and sale 22 Mar 1852, recorded 4 Jun 1852.[5] His estate was divided among his brothers and sisters.
