Isobelle was given lands at Finnart near Greenock in 1594. In the transfer of land or Sasine she is mentioned as the eldest daughter. [4] In 1629 She is mentioned again with her paternal linked cousin James Shaw from Ireland and maternal Uncle gifting land to her son, William, in Dredgehorn outside Irvine, Ayreshire. [5]
Research Notes
Although Weir correctly lists Isobel with her parents, he and Crawfurd[6] incorrectly state that she married John Lindsay of Dunrod rather than Gavin Lyndsay who had married Alisone Schaw.
