Biography

According to personal recollections by Kathleen Shaw Rosanna went to Ladies College in Whitby, Ontario. She was engaged to a railway man but he was killed. She went to visit her sisters in Bruce Co. and met and married Syrian Cummer 6 months later. She was just 20 when she married the miller who was 37, in Southampton, Bruce Co., Ontario in 1873. She was living in Arron Twp. with her sisters when married and he was in Invermay. Witnesses were Norman and Margaret McInnes from Tiverton , Ontario.

They moved to Saskatchewan in 1906 and a daughter and 2 sons still live there. They move into Moose Jaw for the winters.

She was 78 when she died in 1932 in Saskatchewan.
