He was living with his eldest brother Joseph Shaw after their parents died. Joseph was neighbors with Nicholas Phillips in the "Old Spain" area and he grew up with Alice Phillips

It looks like his will would confirm the date.

I think the date of death is a mistake. The transcription of the Weymouth Vital records shows deaths for both John Shaw Sen. and Joseph Shaw Sen. on 16 Sep 1704. I could find original records for Joseph but not for John. I suppose they could have died the same day, but seems like a mistranscription?

Edit: Hmmm now I see that the probate records seem to back it up....maybe the records I looked at weren't the original, and they were mistranscriptions, or they did in fact die the same day.

This profile says its for John Shaw, but you have the name as Deacon John Shaw. Are these the same people? Their DOB match up. Also, you said he had a brother named John Shaw, SR. Wouldn't this profile, John Shaw or Deacon John Shaw be the SR?

I'm a bit confused. John Shaw DOB 1630 DOD 1704 is my 9th grandfather. Thanks, Carol

My records show that John Shaw (Sr.) was born in 1630 and he married Alice Phillips 1637. I am not sure why Robin is saying that this is not correct. I show John Shaw, (Jr) was born in 1654.

Can you tell me what you are saying is wrong Robin? Thanks

What are the sources for his death info?

This profile represents a person that is NOT the wife of Alice Phillips. His birth in 1597 shows different than the Biography. Please add sources so that we can figure this out.
