Biography
From family letter: Katherine and her two full brothers were dance performers in Ireland. They landed in Troy, New York, but her brothers went on to Australia (she decided not to join them because she had a job offer). She was very gay and a born dancer. Her mother (- Sheehey) died in Ireland and her father wed a red headed Danish woman. They had several children including a Nellie. Katherine's 2nd spouse (Flaherty) deserted her and the kids. Her home was activity center. She took in wash, then ran a small candy/tobacco store by the mill in Joliet. She is from County Limerick in Ireland and landed in Troy, NY.[4]
