Note: Clyde Allen Sheets, 76, of Kannapolis died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009 at Presbyterian Hospital, Charlotte after a brief period of declining health. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, March 2, at Charity Baptist Church with Rev. Cramer Kilpatrick and Rev. Chuck Overcash officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday at the church. Clyde was born Jan. 7, 1933 in Wilkes County to the late Mr. and Mrs. Larmon and Rebecca Wingler Sheets. He was a long time area resident. Clyde owned and operated the Midway Barber Shop for over 35 years. He was a member of Charity Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Clyde was also preceded in death by his wife, Mattie Wyatt Sheets, who died in 1995 and also two sisters, Rosalie Sheets Roten and Shirley Sheets Dixon. He is survived by his son, Barry Sheets and wife, Benita, and his grandson Barry Sheets, Jr. all of Salisbury. He is also survived by his brother, Larry Sheets and wife, Naomi of Concord.
