From Ruth Strait: "Anna was the oldest girl. She married Charles Steele and they moved to Tulsa, Okla., where he made quite a lot of money. They had a beautiful home. Al and I visited them in 1924 on the way back to Ohio from Denver. She took me for a ride in her 2-passenger electric auto! What a thrill. She died of cancer before any help was known for pain or other discomfort. Her husband Charles was lucky in the oil business. He drove the best car of the day. He spent everything they had trying to help her. After she died he lived with Anna'S sister Norma for awhile, then I lost track of him. But her brother William found out about him and the terrible way he was living, and was so grateful for the care he gave Anna that he paid up [Charles's] back Masonic dues and got him into the Masonic Home in W. Va. where he died."
