Biography

Emerson was born in 1912. He was the son of Albert Sheets and Goldie Wilhoit.

He passed away in 1980 and is buried in Akron IOOF Cemetery, Akron, Indiana.[1]

Obituary[2]

M. Emerson SHEETS, 68, Akron, died at 8:28 p.m. Thursday in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Fort Wayne, where he had been a patient for several years. Mr. Sheets was born Sept. 22, 1912 in Akron to Roy and Goldie Wilhoit Sheets, and was a lifetime resident of Akron. He was married May 31, 1932 to Hazel Brown, who survives. Surviving with the wife are two sons, Dennis W., Indianapolis, and Arnold E., Encino, Calif; two grandchildren, and a brother, Robert, Akron. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Haupert Funeral Home, Akron. Burial will be in the Akron Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday.
