Biography

Marizee was born 06 Apr 1838 in Alabama. She is the daughter of Adam Sheffield and Sarah McCraney. ^[1]

In 1850 the family is enumerated on the federal census in Chickasaw County, Mississippi. ^{[2] [3]} Marizee married James Edward Shaw sometime prior to the birth of their eldest child, daughter Frances in 1860. ^[4]

By 1880, Marizee is widowed. She and her children are enumerated on the federal census in Yalobusha County, Mississippi. ^[5]

In 1910, Marizee and her daughter Mary were living next to Marizee's niece Octavia Melton Tierce. ^[6]
