Biography
Was married to Cephus Newby Kidd. Had eight children. Their home is still in the Kidd family. Was passed down to their oldest son Roby Kidd who lived in Bennet, NC and then passed down to his son Bill Kidd. Before grandmother passed away, she wrote me a letter telling me some of the names of her family. It is very precious to me since it is all I have left of her. She and my granddaddy moved to FL to seek work and before they left NC, grandmother received a letter from the Governor wanting her to be the recipient of Poet Lauriette but she had to decline since it was important for her to follow her husband and raise her kids.
