Experience Sheldon was born in 1802 in New Hampshire to Elisha Sheldon, 41, and Elizabeth Wells, 37. She had four brothers and five sisters. She never married and lived with family members throughout her life. She died in 1880 in Nebraska City, Nebraska, having lived a long life of 78 years.
