John was born in 1494. He is the son of Richard Shelley and his wife, Mary Urdiswicke. ^[1]

• House in Lewes, bought from John Homewood, to son John Shelley and a feather bed
• £100 each to sons Robert and James Shelley
• £50 to John Cawnton, son of son-in-law Thomas Cawnton at 21
• £50 amongst the rest of Thomas Cawnton's children by testator's daughter Mary at 21
• Gold ring to daughter Mary Cawnton
• Sealing ring to daughter Joane Michelbourne
• Gold ring with [Crapper] stone to daughter Katherine Hamon
• £50 among current children of daughter Katherine at 21
• Second silver salter with gilt cover to daughter Anne Wallistone
• £50 to the present children of daughter Anne at 21
• Son George Shelley, sole executor, to receive income on indentures agreed with sons John Shelley and Richard Shelley
• Witnessed by Gilbert Sackvile, George Freemean, Thomas Carewe and William Ffoster.
