Biography

Birth and Early Life

Eve Shelly was born on April 28, 1781, daughter of Johannes Shelley and Mary Margaret Yellis. ^[1]

Marriage and Children

In about 1807, Eve was married to Isaac. Together they had 5 known children:

1. Philip Kilmer (b. 1808; m. Catharine Martin Kilmer; d. 1886) ^[2]
2. John Kilmer (b. 1809; m. Catherine Ramer Kilmer; d. 1862) ^[3]
3. Elizabeth Kilmer (b. 1812; m1. 1830, Michael Weaver; m2. 1855, John Bar; d. 1891) ^[4]
4. Isaac Kilmer (b. 1814; m. Anna Kilmer Kilmer; d. 1882) ^[5]
5. Samuel Kilmer (b. 1820; m. 1842, Catherine Boyer Freed; d. 1866) ^[6]

In 1832, Isaac, Eve and their children moved to Ohio, United States.

Eve's husband Isaac kilmer passed away on April 13, 1845 (age 57) in Ohio. He is buried at the Pletcher Cemetery, Galion, Crawford County, Ohio. ^[7]

In 1850, Eve Killmer, age 69, widowed, was living with her son, Samuel Killmer, age 29, and his wife, Catharine, age 26, and their children "Elizabeth, age 7, and Isaac, age 6". They lived in Polk Township, Crawford, Ohio, where Samuel was a farmer. ^[8]

In 1860, "Eve Kilmer age 79" was living with her son "Saml, age 39, his wife Catharin Kilmer, age 36" and their children "Isaac, age 16; Philip, age 6; and John Kilmer, age 4 months". They were now living in Olive Township, Elkhart, Indiana, United States. ^[9]

Death and Burial

Eve passed away on October 23, 1860 (aged 79) in Elkhart County, Indiana, USA . Eve was buried at the Yellow Creek Cemetery, Southwest, Elkhart County, Indiana. ^[10]
