He married Margaret Brewes, daughter of Sir Robert Brewes and Ela Stapleton, circa 1429; They had 1 son (Sir Ralph).^[2] John Shelton, Esq. died on 23 April 1431 at of Shelton, Norfolk, England, at age 24.^[3]
