Her maiden name as Shelton from obituary of her daughter Leah Delilah Douthit. Marriage bond transcription reads Nancy STYPE, however[1] -
1850 Forsyth Co. census, page 251B-252: William B. Stipe and Martha, living next door to Martin and Elizabeth Holder; with them are Nancy Shelton age 10 and Rebecca Shelton 8. William and Martha are too young to be Nancy's parents, however.
Marriage license dated 15 Sep 1858, Forsyth County NC
Her will dated 24 Sep 1906, probated 11 Nov 1908[2], names daughter Flora A. Holder, exec. Specifies burial beside her husband W.C. Holder in Pfafftown graveyard. Witnesses Robbie Lee Martin, Ada B. Snow, H. Montague.
