Ralph, son and heir of John Shelton, Esq. and Margaret Brewes, was born circa January 1431 (he was 3 months old when his father died on 23 April 1431).[1]
Sir Ralph Shelton, Sheriff of Norfolk & Suffolk, died on 16 July 1497. "He left a will dated 21 March 1497, proved 13 May 1498 (P.C.C. 33 Horne), requesting burial at Shelton, Norfolk." His widow, Margaret, died 16 Jan. 1499/1500.[3]
