Biography

"HENRY SHELTON b. about 1792; probably m. Aug.2,1815 TEMPERANCE HARRIS in Cat- well Co. N.C.j rec’d by his father's will the larger part of Caswell property."^[1]

Mentioned in the book Sarah Shelton Henry: The wife Patric Henry kept in the cellar: "Another newphew of Sarah's who was born many years after Sarah's death was Henry Shelton (1791-1880). He was also a son of Sarah's brother, David. He was the last child born to Sarah's brother, David, and his wife, Susannah Vaughn."^[2]

Y-DNA Haplotype R-U106.^[3] Same as father, David, and uncle, Peter, and with great, great grandfather Peter, lending credibility to this lineage.
