Jane married Temple Taylor as second wife on 21 May 1848 in Lincoln County, Tennessee.[2] They had two known children: Elizabeth Shelton Taylor (b c 1849) and Emeline Taylor (b c 1851/2).
It is possible that Cynthia Taylor was their daughter also. She was born about 1844 and is sometimes attributed as daughter of Jane - name given as Cynthia Shelton Taylor. It is also possible that this is in error and Cynthia was actually the daughter of the first wife of Temple Taylor, Jane White Oliphant, whose death date is uncertain.
