Checking WikiTree connections, ancestor Ralph Shelton, who married Margaret Clere, is covered by Richardson's Magna Carta Ancestry, who lists a son of theirs, John, Knt., but the trail continues through their son Ralph (m Mary Brome). ~ MCA Vol I, p 391 CALTHORPE #10.

The Questionable Gateway Ancestors subproject of the Magna Carta Project has been retired, but immigrant ancestors who otherwise meet Magna Carta Project criteria (immigrated to America prior to 1700; lineal descendant of a Magna Carta Surety Baron) can still be added to the project if the parent/child relationships that are not covered by Richardson's works are supported by primary proofs. In this case, that means from this John to John, son of Ralph Shelton, Knt.
