Biography
Charlotte Jane Shepherd died at Willard State Hospital of "phthisis," (tuberculosis). She was known to have suffered from mental illness according to a newspaper article which mentioned it some years before she entered the State Hospital. Charlotte's only brother, Augustus Gaylord Shepherd, is buried at "Willard, New York." Voorhees, Lesley E., "Lesley E.
