Richard was born in 1526. He passed away in 1594. [1]
Of Stonyhurst; knighted 11-May-1544 by Edw. Seymour, Earl of Hertford at Leith for his services against the Scots under the banner of England; he was Deputy Lieutenant for Lancashire; Steward of the Manor of Slaidburn & Lieutenant of the Isle of Man; buried at Mitton with his wife, where there is a monument andeffigy. I spent 7 years at Stonyhurst College in Lancashire. I believe it was donated to the Jesuits by the Sherburne family. They are also ancestors of mine through Elizabeth Molyneux.
