Biography

Mary, twin to Abigail, and daughter of William and Mercy (White) Sherman, was born at Marshfield, Massachusetts, 1 June 1711.^[1] The twins were baptized as adults 11 Aug 1728.^[2]

Her father, William, made his will, 30 Nov 1739. He left half his real estate and all his movable goods to Mary and her sister Abigail, to be divided equally. He named Mary and his son-in-law Adam Hall as executors. 7 Apr 1740, administration was granted to "Adam Hall marriner & Mary Shearman Spinster."^[3][1]

Mary and Abigail were living Jan. 1782, when Mary Phillips of Marshfield attached the land they had received from their father.^[1][4]
