Elizabeth was born 27 Jan 1706 or 07 in Marshfield, Massachusetts, the daughter of Ebenezer and Margaret (Decrow) Sherman[1].
The will of Ebenezer Sherman of Marshfield, “labourer” dated 10 January 1759 and proved 14 February 1759, mentioned his sons: William (eldest), Ebenezer, Elisha, Robert and John; daughters: Rachel Joyce, Elizabeth Witherell, Abigail Carver, and Barsheba Walker; and his wife, Bathsheba Sherman.

On 4 February 1762, constable Elisha Curtis of Scituate “warned Joseph Witherell and his wife and children, who came from Pembroke about 3 months past, to depart town.”
Notes
No birth records have been found for the children of Joseph and Elizabeth (Sherman) Witherell. The baptismal records assist with establishing the parentage of four and the division deed for Mary Witherell’s property provides evidence for the remainder[4].
