Research indicates that Thomas was not married to Dorcas so disconnected.

Re. his birth in 1548, unable to find any record which corresponds, though there is a baptism of Thomas Sherwood, 1 Jan 1541(/2) Ipswich St Nicholas, Suffolk, parent not stated.^[1]

Re. his marriage to Ann in "Sherwood", found two marriage records neither of which correspond:

1. Thomas Sherwood m. Joan Tailor 1586 Worcester. ^[2]
2. Thomas Sherwood m. 1583 in Oakington, Cambridgeshire.^[3]

Re. his death, found several burial records for Thomas bur. 17 Feb 1632, but none name Sherwood.

Re. death location Sherwood, this is the name of a forest in Nottinghamshire, but not a parish and so the location could be more specific. However, because it's also his surname it probably derives from an element of confusion.
