Her birth certificate shows that she was the seventh child although she is the sixth of six girls and one younger brother. Text: Harold: You asked: Do you know how Grandpa and Grandma Shields met? I had asked my Mother this question some time ago. Apparantly they were both attending a Bible Meeting, someplace in the Bronx. When Grandpa saw Grandma, he had to sit next to her. The rest is history. How Grandma came to be in the Bronx when she lived in Winsted, no one seems to know. Perhaps the Bible Meeting was similar to the Camp Meetings that Thomas Blakeney was involved with. Apparantly they drew many thousands of people. If it was so big as to draw thousands, it would have to have been advertised??? Bill
