Born: Ruth Shields was born about 1747.^[1]

Marriage: Ruth was the wife of Richard Strode of Newlin Township, Chester County Pennsylvania.

Early Member of Brandywine Baptist Church: in 1792, "Ruth Strode" was baptized at the Brandywine Baptist Church in Chadds Ford, Penn.^[2]

Early Penn. Tax Records: 1796-1799: Ruth appears on the Early Penn. Tax Rolls with 120 acres of land inherited from her husband in Newlin Township.^[3] In 1799, Ruth appears on the Chester County (Newlin Twnshp) Tax Discounts List for previously having her lands over valued.^[4]

Death and Burial: Ruth passed away on December 27, 1825 age 78, ? months, and is buried at the Hephzibah Baptist Church Cemetery, Coatesville, Chester County, Pennsylvania, USA.^[1][5]
