Biography

Fred Shields, son of William J. Shields and Alistia (Newman) Shields, was born on 12 July 1892 in Pennsylvania.^[1][2]

He married Mildred L. Rowland, daughter of Lemuel Rowland and Lucy (Young) Rowland, on 11 june 1913 at Delaware County, New York.^[2]

He was a steamfitter at a milk company when he and Mildred appeared on the census of 6 Jan. 1920 at Walton, Delaware County, New York.^[3]

Fred died in Oct. 1970 probably in Sussex County, New Jersey his last residence.^[1]
