Biography
Born: Elizabeth Shofner was born about 1818 in Kentucky. She was the daughter of David Shofner and Polly Gaddie.
Married: On February 18, 184, Elizabeth Shofner married John A. Jewell in Barren County, Kentucky.[1] Marriage Bond: February 13, 1841. Bondsmen: John A. Jewell and Franklin Williams. Consent: February 15, 1841 by David Shofner for his daughter Elizabeth Shofner.[2]
Death: Elizabeth passed away between 1870 and 1880 probably in Metcalfe County, Kentucky. She appears in the 1870 US Census, but not the 1880 US Census. Her husband John A. Jewell married her sister Sarah Shofner Pierce in 1881.
