Biography

Caroline was born in 1852, the daughter of Christian August Scholderer and Anna Margareta Lutscher. She passed away in 1920 at age 68 from apoplexy.

Clinton M. Calkins married, at age 22, Caroline M. Sholder, age 26, daughter of Christian August Scholderer and Anna Margareta Lutscher, on Tuesday, 4 June 1878 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend John Donahue. The family attended the Presbyterian Church, Newberry, Lycoming, Pennsylvania. They had three children:
1. Cora Myrtle Calkins (1879-1953) – m. Edward Pasanault
2. John Agustus Calkins (1881-1950) – m. Mary Christina Stahl
3. Floyd Douglas Calkins (1885-1948) – m. Caroline Elizabeth Updegraff
