Anderson Short was born on January 4, 1840 in Knox County, Kentucky, United States, son of William Short (~1796–~1858).
Anderson (17) married Elvira Combs (14) (born on May 20, 1843 in Breathitt, Kentucky; daughter of Benjamin Henry Combs and Martha Jane (Johnson) Combs) in 1858 in Breathitt, Kentucky.
Anderson died on February 22, 1909 in Breathitt County, Kentucky, aged 69.[1]
