His obituary from Olney Daily Mail newspaper:
Wilbur Short, 66, of Browns, IL, died October 16, at his home. He was born March 31, 1931, in Lancaster, IL, the son of Willard and Ferris Eckiss Short. He worked for Pacific Press Technologies in Mt. Carmel for 30 years and recently for CAC Microcircuits in Mt. Carmel. He was a member of the Albion V. F. W. Post #8222 and attended the First Christian Church in West Salem. He is survived by a son, Marion; a daughter, Janet Rennels; five grandchildren; five brothers, George, Rosco, Arthur, and Charles; a sister, Patricia Rodgers and special friend Jeanne Stone. Funeral services were held at Ingram Funeral Home in Albion with burial at Graceland Cemetery. Military rites were held by the Albion Veterans Organizations. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Association.
