Biography

"Mrs. Arfsten died at the Evergreens Nursing Home in Limon 28 April, 1968, her 93 anniversary. She had been a resident of The Evergreens for the past 4 years.

She was born in Curry, Minnesota, 28 April 1875, and she was married to Henry C. Arfsten. They came to Colorado with four children in 1906 and took a home stead north of Genoa ( the Homestead Act of 1862 granted public land not to exceed 160 acres to any settler to be developed as a farm. G.D.A.).

Ten years later they moved to Limon, which has been the family home since that time.

She was a long time member of the Methodist church and also of the Royal Neighbors of America.

Mrs. Arfsten was preceeded in death by her husband,

by twin baby daughters, Violet and Viola, and another

daughter, Margaret.

Survivors include her sons:

Alfred of Denver;

Ben of Harlingen,Texas and

Raymond and

Clifford of Limon; and daughters

Pauline Urquhart-Hall of seattle, Washington

Hazel Kronke of Seattle, Washingto, and

Alice Harrison of Denver.

She is also survived by a

sister Emma Arfsten of Longmont, and a

brother Rude Schultz of Canada.

There are also 26 grandchildren,

46 great grandchildren and

26 great great grandchildren" ^[1]
