I was born in Spokane, Washington, and have lived most of my life in Arizona. My original interest in genealogy came from an aunt who tirelessly researched my paternal line for years. The interest lay dormant for many years until as I neared retirement, another friend got me interested in researching my maternal lines and my father's biological father. The research led to some unsuspected and interesting results and allowed me to find some very nice cousins. It appears my heredity is 3/4 English and 1/4 Norwegian. The English part is mostly old stock, coming in with the Puritans and Pilgrims so my family's history followed the development of the nation, giving new meaning to American history for me.
I look forward to meeting new cousins and other researchers. One of the nice parts of genealogy is the collaboration.

How's everything going? You might be finding duplicate profiles now. We have a Help Page to help you learn what to do with them. Be sure to check for your pending merges by going to FIND, PENDING MERGES, and sort for those waiting on you. Upon completing a merge, be sure to clean up/edit the Biography as ALL information from both profiles are copied and remove any duplicate info.
If you want updates on surnames you can add them by going to MY WIKITREE, NAV HOME PAGE, scroll down to just below WIKI GENEALOGY FEED to EDIT FOLLOWED SURNAMES. You can add up to 20.
Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those situations.
