Bernhardt "Barnett" Sigman, the son of blacksmith Johannes Sigmann and Maria Barbara, was christened as Jörg Bernhard on 24 Apr 1723 in Hüffenhardt.[1]
Bernhardt "Barnett" Sigman died before January 1790 when two of his sons, George and John, qualified at Lincoln County Court as administrators of his estate.[2]
The sons of Bernhardt and Anna Clara (Bissbing) Siegmann are named in a deed executed by the sons.
Lincoln County, North Carolina, deed book 20: 345. 2 June 1801, George Sigman, Barnet Sigman, William Sigman & John Sigman to Christopher Sigman for £400; 278 1/2 acres on waters of Lyles Creek; said land was granted 26 November 1753 by John Earl Granville [Lord Granville] to George Davidson; conveyed by Davidson 21 April (or March?) 1769 to Barned Sigman; said Barned Sigman died & the aforesaid George, Barned, William & John being sons of Barned Sigman & heirs of said land & likewise Christopher Sigman being one of the sons of said Barned Sigman & heir of said land.[3]
