Biography

Margaret Siler [1]was born 04/28/1840 in Whitley County, Kentucky and died 08/15/1917 in Whitley County, KY. Her parents are Hedrick Benjamin Siler (b 05/25/1805 in Knox Co, KY) and Jennie Warren (b. 04/30/1808 in Knox Co, KY). She married Joseph Faulkner (1834-08/27/1873) on 03/18/1855 in Campbell County, TN. Joseph was a Retail Merchant. After Joseph’s death in 1873, Margaret worked as a Taylor and a farmer. Margaret lived in Whitley County all of her life. Margaret and John had 6 children: Nancy Faulkner (1856-), John W Faulkner (1858-), Malinda Faulkner (1864-), Mary B Faulkner (1868-), James F Faulkner (1870-) and Charlotte A Faulkner (1872-1955).

1850 U.S. Census[2] – Ben and Jane (Warren) Siler are living in Whitley County, Kentucky with 13 children: William (24 yrs), Sally (Sarah) (22 yrs), Nanny (Nancy) (20 yrs), Alvin (Adam) (19 yrs), Jesse (17 yrs), Rachel (15 yrs), Melinda (15 yrs), Margaret (10 yrs), Huy (Henry) (9 yrs), Biddy (6 yrs), Lankford (4 yrs), James (2 yrs) and Jane (1 yrs). Ben is a farmer.
