Biography

Nehemiah was born about 1785 in Edgmont Township, Chester County (now part of Delaware County), Pennsylvania. He was the son of James Sill and Sarah Sill.

His mother died on 25 September 1797 in Edgmont Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.

Nehemiah was named in his father James Sill's will, dated 23 May 1798, in Edgmont Township, Delware County, Pennsylvania. His father died sometime before the will was proved on 22 October 1798.^[1]

Nehemiah married Hannah Thompson, who died on 8 January 1822 in Delaware County, Pennsylvania.

Nehemiah and his family lived in Edgmont Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, in 1810.^[2] By 1820, he was living with his family in Willistown Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania.^[3] By 1830, he was living with his family in Haverford Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.^[4]

He died and was buried on 23 May 1831 at Middletown Grave Yard in Lima, Middletown Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.^[5]
