Biography

William Sill was born in Yorkshire, England.

William, born about 1873, was the son of James Sill and Caroline Price.^[1] He was christened on 9 March 1873 at Redcar, Yorkshire. ^[2]

In 1881 he lived with his parents and siblings at 2, Lord Street, Upleatham, Guisborough, Yorkshire^[3]

From 1901 to 1911, he lived with his parents in Redcar and worked as a bricklayer with his father.^[4][5][6].

William passed away on 1 December 1930. ^[7][8]

Research Note

I can find no evidence of William Sill marrying anyone called Jane on Family Search, Ancestry or Findmypast. All searched on 5 April 2019.

Marriage of William Sill, Morpeth, March 1929 was to Mona Barron ^[9].

William was not the William Sill who married Annie E. Stalker in the Carlisle Registration district in the June quarter of 1914 ^[10]. This couple were still alive (living in Westmorland, in 1939, and this William's birthdate is 8th March 1880 ^[11].
