Sophia Simmons was born 3 October 1716, Christened 23 December 1716 at St. James Parish, Anne Arundel, Maryland. She is the daughter of George Simmons and Elizabeth Knighton. [1]
Sophia is mentioned in the will of her father. She would have been only four years old when her father died:

Sophia at age 30 married her second husband James Death (Dearth) on 23 October 1746. They were the parents of five children:[3]

Sophia died the 17th of March 1795, Luzerne Townplace, Fayette County, PA, Buried Dearth Family Cemetery, Located in Luzerne Twp. Fayette Co PA ( About one mile from the Hopewell Grange Hall. [5]

Sophia Married First John F Farmer, abt 1734. They had five children. Sophia married second James Dearth on October 23 1746. They were the parents of five children as well. (according to St James Parrish Register, her father died and probably buried there. Cemetery id: 271484.
