Dorothy was born on November 14, 1905[1] to William Edwin Simmons and Jennie Hayes Lawrence of Truro, Nova Scotia. Her family had moved by 1911 to Strathcona District in Alberta which is just east of Edmonton.[2] There was a prairie census in 1916[3] and they were found in Tofield, Alberta ... a little farther east from Edmonton. In the census of 1921[4] and the prairie census of 1926[5] they were living in the city of Edmonton. She married Guy Burton Wynn in Edmonton in 1929.[6][7] They moved to Langley, British Columbia where she lived the rest of her life. One son born in 1930. She passed away on August 27, 1968 in Langley.[1]
