Rosa Simmons married Charlie Leonard Simmons, son of William E l i Simmons, of Simmonsville. They lived i n Columbia, Mississippi where Charlie was with the Russell Wholesale Grocery and Grain Company until he retired. Rosa and Charlie have the following children: (Charlie died January 19, 1955.)

(a) Stanley Simmons, born i n 1912, married Anna Soelter of Chicago, Illinois, whom he met while stationed there in the United States Navy. They liv e in Jackson, Miss and have two children Charlie L. and Row t K. .

(b) Wallace Simmons, born in 1914, married Dorethea Russell of Covington, Louisiana. Wallace is a career man in the United States Marines. He fought in World"War II and i n Korea.

(c) Charles (Red) Simmons, born in 1917, married Mary Jones of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Red graduated from Southeastern College, at Hammond, Louisiana. They live in Hattiesburg where Red works for the]&Bsdl\^olVsale« Grocery and Grain Company. They have no children.

(d) Edward Simmons, born in 1920, married Patricia Cerveny of Minnesota. Edward graduated in Electrica l Engineering from Mississippi State College. He fought i n World War II. He and Pat liv e i n B&riittoh, Wisconsin and have two children Franklin Dale and Rebecca Rae

(e) Irene Simmons, born i n 1923, is single and teaches piano at Ferry Hall School for Girls, just out of Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Mississippi State College for Women and has a Master's Degree in Music from Northwestern University i n Evanston, Illinois.
