Biography
Essie Simmons married Clarence Strickland, son of Delilah Hayes and Henry Strickland and brother of Percy Strickland. They lived south of new Bluff Springs church in the old Henry Strickland home.
- 1. Elsie Strickland married Keng Hughes,son of Henry Hughes. They live near her parents. 4 Chn— Shirley , Patrick , Avis and Joan.
- i i . Margie Strickland married Ernest W. Hughes, son of Lula Lang and Leonard Hughes. They live near her parents. 4 Chn— E.W.,Ruth, Stephen and Mark.
- iii . Myrtle Strickland married David Lea. Myrtle died about1949,and is buried in the old Strickland cemetery near her parents home. There were three children .
- (1) Mary Lea, born September 2,1943
- (2) William Alle n (W.A.) Lea, born May 26,1947
- (3) Sall y Mae Lea, born July 20,1949.
