Mary Simonds was born in Woburn, Massachusetts, on December 9, 1647, the daughter of William Simonds.

On April 25, 1671, she married, in Concord, Massachusetts, Roger Chandler. Children, probably all born in Concord, although no birth record for the youngest has been found:

Her husband Roger died on January 11, 1717, at about the age of 80. He was buried at Old Hill Burying Ground in Concord. His will names his wife, a son, Samuel Chandler, and three daughters: Mary Heald, Abigail Brown, and Hephzibah Jones.
