Ellen's child Jane Barrow was baptized on 20 April 1800 in Poulton le Fylde, Lancashire, England^[4] as were William Barrow baptized on 20 June 1802^[5], twins Robert and James Barrow born on 18 May 1805 and baptized on 30 Jun 1805^[6][7], Molly Barrow baptized on 27 September 1807^[8], John Barrow baptized on 25 March 1810^[9], and Margaret Barrow baptized on 26 November 1813.^[10]

Ellen and John appear to have moved with their family from Poulton le Fylde Lancashire to Marton, Lancashire between Dec 1813 and July 1816.
