Biography

Salomon was born circa 1775 in either N.C. or Kentucky. His parents were James Simpson and Elizabeth Sherrill. He married Sarah Sally Boone daughter of Nancy Ann Linville and George Boone.


His father James Simpson place of death is unknown at this time. He was in Gallatin Co Ky in the early 1800 where his two daughters Dorcus and Anna married Edward and Samuel Boone brothers to Sarah Sally Boone that married James's Son Solomon Simpson. James Simpson was the owner of Simpson's Ferry on the Kentucky River.

Memorial to Solomon Simpson. "Grave has never been found. This is a fitting Memorial for Solomon and his wife Sarah Boone, daughter of George Boone and Nancy Ann Linville." [1]

"Your Orators would further state that George Boone, whose name is mentioned in the Original bill, has long since departed this life, and that his next of kin and lawful heirs are Marion Steele, the wife of Joseph Steele, his daughter, and Greenup Simpson Matilda , Eliza , America, Sarah, Erasmus, George , James and Alfred Simpson, his grandchildren being the issue of his daughter, "

Another part of the Document states that "Grandchildren of the said George Boone being the children of Simpson deceased who was a daughter and died before him"

This Cemetery is located in Callaway County in close proximity to the Montogomery County line, The SE part of Section 11, Township 47N-Range 7west (John Coleman farm) This is private property and can't be accessed readily. The Cal-Mont B oone Family Association fencing this cemetery and set the tombstones in concrete.

Captain Samuel Boone was the fourth son of George (younger brother of Daniel Boone) and Nancy Ann Linville Boone. He settled in the area in 1818.CaptainSa muel married Anna Simpson, circa fall of 1804. Another Simpson sister, Dorcas Simpson Wh ite married Edward Boone , brother to Captain Samuel Boone, According to Spraker's Boone Famlies , a sister Sarah, married Solomon Simpson.
