Biography
When Elizabeth (Betsy) A. Hornbuckle Simpson was born on August 8, 1799, in Caswell, North Carolina, her father, James, was 32, and her mother, Sarah, was 26. She married James Foster on March 18, 1817, in Madison, Kentucky. They had 11 children in 20 years. She died on January 27, 1843, in Warrensburg, Missouri, at the age of 43, and was buried in Johnson, Missouri. Elizabeth (Betsy) A. Hornbuckle Simpson married James Foster in Madison, Kentucky, on March 18, 1817, when she was 17 years old.[1]Her family migrated abt. 1837 to MO.
