The marriage of Charles May & Ann Sims on 29 April 1824, was recorded by Morley Quaker Monthly Meeting, Cheshire.[4] An image of the record does not state where the wedding occurred, but the witnesses were resident in Stockport, so it may have taken place in Stockport, Cheshire. Her husband is described as a chemist and druggist of Ampthill, Bedfordshire, son of Samuel (a draper of Ampthill) and Ann.[5][6]
