I James Sims of Union Cunty, S.C. being week in body but sound mind and memory, etc. I give to William Gillam and Nancey his wife all the negroes and other property now in their possesion forever. I give unto my dtr. Anne G. Sims one negro woman Tabl and her five children; Milley, Fanney, Dilcey, Robin and Jeter. In case my dtr. should die without heirs, the said negroes and their incresae shall be divided between Drusilla, Matthew, John, Nathan, and Reuben Sims. The remainder of my estate shall remain in possession of my wife Elizabeth and under direction of my executor. After my just debts are paid and during her widowhood, property may be delivered as a loan to either of my five sons as they may need, but not beyond the limits of this State. Ever debaring the delivery of a slave to my son James. After the death or marriage of my wife negroes are to be put into four equal lots, one for Matthew, one for John, one for Nathan, and one for Reuben, they paying my sone James one fifty part of the appraisement of the slaves, and one fifty part of my other est. I appoint my wife Elizabeth Sims Executrix and my friend Jeter Brasellmann, and John Sanders Executros. Dated 20 Nov. 1794. Wit: Joshua Kenworth, John Kenworth, Cornelus Willson. Signed: James-X-Sims. Recorded 1 Jan. 1795. James's will passed probate on 1 Jan 1795 in Union, South Carolina, USA.[4]
